We’ve made a couple of changes to the course this year to improve safety & the final sprint. Below are the main changes to the 2026 course:
START/ FINISH LINE: The start & finish line will be on the other side of the Market Place to make use of the wider paths.
LAP/ Split area: The location of splitting runners finishing and runners doing another lap will now take place in Bishop’s Hall Road. This creates a longer and safer straight for runners to read signs and listen marshals. This also frees up a busy area of Kingston around Eden street.
20 Mile Final Loop: Instead of runners running along a busy Kingston Riverside, runners will do a new loop around Canbury Gardens. 20 milers will still run up barge walk and back but will run anti-clock wise around Canbury Gardens before heading into the finish.
