Hampton Court Road Closures

Hampton Court Road Closures

The Hampton Court Half Marathon is returning this year on 18th of February 2024.

The much-loved race is once again going to bring the community together to celebrate the success of all the

Using a small number of local roads to ensure a safe start and finish for the race, this may cause some changes to the

usual traffic routes for a limited time period on Sunday 18th February. In planning this event, every effort is made to

minimise the disruption caused due to road closures. The route has been carefully considered based on the impact as

well as that of the safety of all participants. A list of all roads affected is included below for your reference. We are

working closely with all stakeholders as well as all emergency services and transport links to minimise disruptions.

Roads required for the event will begin to close at 07:00, ready for the Hampton Court Half Marathon to start at 08:30.

Roads will begin to re-open from 09:30, once all runners have passed by and when it is safe and feasible to do so. All

roads will have re-opened by 12:00. Advanced warning signs will also be installed around the race route two weeks

prior to the event date, indicating when the roads will be closed.

There will also be a no waiting or parking zone in place on Portsmouth Road (A307) between Sicily Isles and Angel

Road from Saturday 12:00 noon, until Sunday 12:00 noon.

Please do allow extra time for your journey and, where possible, avoid driving in the area during the closure period. If

you do need to drive on Sunday 18th February, please consider parking on an alternative street on the evening of the

Saturday 17th February to enable you to carry out your journey.

If you or someone you care for will require access during the road closures please contact us with

your name, address and contact number. Alternatively please call 07736281926 and ask for the race director, Tom Bedford.

If you would like to join us at the event, then there are lots of ways for local residents, businesses and organisations to

get involved! Why not provide a volunteering team and get the full race day experience? Everyone who volunteers will

receive a free entry into a RUN-FEST event in 2024 or if you would like to take part in this year’s event you can use

RESIDENT50 to get 50% off at this year’s Hampton Court Half.

We are very grateful for the support that you as residents provide this event with and we hope that this advance notice

helps with your planning around the road closures. We appreciate your understanding with any inconvenience you

experience due to these restrictions.
